No need for a boat, no risk of exposed propellers or wings, no transportation challenges — grab your board, carry the battery and jet in your backpack and surf wherever and whenever you want.
If you’d like to get in touch, simply fill in your details here and we’ll reach out as soon as possible.
We address this gap with an electric surfboard that pays tribute to traditional surfboard craftsmanship. One that not only prioritizes performance, but also embodies the look and feel of surf's most enduring pieces.
The drivetrain, or battery and jet, fits seamlessly into the board’s frame, and is held in place by an elegantly designed locking mechanism. It is the technology that makes our dream — to surf anytime, anywhere — a reality. Inspired by the ease and intuitiveness of today’s cutting-edge consumer products, it is absolutely modular and tool-less, and supplied with over 50 sensors and microprocessors empowered by an always-on mobile network connection, making for painless and uncomplicated setup, transportation and service.
The complete modularity also enables you to swap a single drivetrain among all boards in your quiver. Integration of the battery into the bottom of the board is an essential innovation to maximize battery longevity, as it is naturally cooled by the water on which we surf.

Surfing is a feeling. An exhilarating moment of weightlessness and speed. A blend of adrenaline and tranquility.
LIND boards replicate and prolong this feeling on flat water by creating a board that is an extension of yourself. One that lets your eyes lead the way, responding to your movements naturally and harmonizing the relationship between you and your board. One that facilitates a state of presence and flow, enabling you to focus on the simple beauty of each turn, your surroundings and that very moment.
Between our shortboard and midlength models, LIND boards are a choice between sharp, wide, open and deep turns, or quiet, calming and cathartic cruising. In all cases, backed by agility, fluidity and a marriage between grace and power.

Capturing the feeling has been a dynamic collaboration between surfboard shapers, designers and engineers to perfect the board’s shape and surfing experience. LIND boards are shaped from EPS foam, glassed in epoxy resin, and include an oak wood tail block and stringer. At around 15 lbs, or 7 kg, they are light enough to carry under one arm. Canvas, our first stock release, is the foundation for all subsequent boards, focusing on the craftsmanship, shape and performance aspects of a LIND board.

Ride your way. The Canvas shortboard, at 6’3” in length, prioritizes responsiveness, maneuverability and rail-to-rail surfing. The midlength, at 6’9”, maintains the shortboard’s core characteristics, but is shaped for balance and control thanks to its greater volume, relaxed rocker and rounded nose. Both boards come with a custom and sleekly designed fin that magnetically slides into the jet. The single fin has a long and strong base for grip and drive (or acceleration when straightening out), and just the right amount of flex for a drag-free experience through sweeping turns.

Custom boards. Since the board itself is separate from the drivetrain, you have the opportunity to design and build a board tailored precisely to your individual preferences. This means you can customize every detail, from picking your favorite colors and materials to crafting a one-of-a-kind art piece that reflects your style. Whether you’re looking for something traditional, modern, eccentric or even wood, we’re able to bring your vision to life, designing a surfboard that’s uniquely yours.

Composed of 192 Lithium-ion cells, known for their high energy density, long lifespan and high max power draw. The cells are organized so current travels in the most efficient, straight manner as possible, and packed diagonally to limit air space and maximize energy density.
Like everything else, the battery is 100% custom designed in house. It uses replaceable nickel- and gold-coated connectors with watertight redundant sealing, is self-balancing at all times thanks to real-time individual cell voltage monitoring, includes automated overheating controls, and utilizes the world’s finest materials to optimize for weight, durability, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and more.

No exposed wires or crimp connections, and custom made, highly durable composite-polypropylene cell brackets support our most precious piece of technology.
2x the energy density of a Tesla Model S. Even the spaces between the cells are used efficiently, as the center voids are support column structures making the housing more sturdy.

The battery Printed Circuit Board (PCB) includes 48 embedded temperature sensors. The distributed sensor network enables us to rapidly identify any local hot-spots within the pack and takes steps to protect the battery in response.
Simply put, the drivetrain is all about maximizing power and energy given the size limitations. In our case, the size limitations are extreme: the shortboard is one of the most power dense electric vehicles in the world at almost 1 hp / kg. This achievement is thanks to a design team with the absurd idea of putting nearly 30 hp into a surfboard, and an engineering team not only agreeable enough to entertain the idea, but willing to challenge themselves to create the shortest and most direct path between energy and motor to maximize energy efficiency.

Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast. Fast is fun. Just as a composer arranges a piece for melody, chords and tempo, LIND boards are a careful and meticulous orchestration of parts optimizing for core design objectives. They are countless hours of continued refinement, testing, correcting and improving, and the result of a relentless pursuit to make a truly great consumer-centric product.

A dual motor system using limited space to create high motor speed that is then geared down to optimize torque and increase power. The outcome is a waterjet generating 20 kW of power (27 hp) and only weighing 22 lbs (10 kg).

Our gear reduction design increases impeller efficiency and longevity thanks to heightened impeller stabilization. The gearbox design also achieves 97% efficiency, converting nearly all of its input power into output power.
Similar to the battery, the jet is about maximizing power and efficiency, but also durability, longevity, and weight. The jet can empty your standard bathtub in 2 seconds, is cased in high-impact resistance plastics, has internal cooling mechanisms and automated overheating controls, and a stator mass 4x less than industry standard. This is not your typical waterjet — it’s a deliciously powerful piece of performance art, largely responsible for speeds up to 40 mph (65 km/h).

Full color and fine tuned remotes. Click up through power limits and the power of the drivetrain is gradually opened until you reach max capacity, translating to smooth acceleration and getting to your feet with ease. The remote is wireless and pairs to each board via 2.4 GHz radio, and has a radio-based kill switch for when you fall.

LIND boards are designed with a modular approach, offering unparalleled convenience and portability. Unlike the competition, the board, battery and jet are stand-alone pieces, assembled together when ready to ride thanks to a robust frame design built into the board's rocker. This unique design significantly reduces board weight, allowing you to effortlessly carry it under your arm, just like a classic surfboard. Meanwhile, the drivetrain can be conveniently packed in a backpack.
The design also eliminates the requirement of any tools to install the drivetrain. The setup process is incredibly straightforward and can be completed in 15 seconds. Simply insert the components, close the locking arm and you’re ready to surf. Streamlined assembly not only makes it easier to transport and store the board, but also ensures that you spend less time preparing and more time enjoying your surfing experience. Your pre-surf experience should be as quick and hassle-free as possible to maximize your time on the water.
